Sponsored by the nonprofit Classical Conversations Foundation, our 2022 National Conference is a chance for Classical Conversations families to meet other members from around the nation as well as learn and draw inspiration from key leaders in the homeschooling movement.
This will be a family-friendly, three-day event beginning on the evening of Thursday, April 28, to Saturday, April 30, in Southern Pines, NC. We hope to see you there!

Our annual National Conference brings families from the thousands of Classical Communities scattered across the nation into one place for a few days of learning, encouragement, inspiration, fellowship, and fun. Here’s everything you can expect during the event this spring:
Meet CC Families from Around the Nation
National Conference is your chance to connect with the larger Classical Conversations community of homeschooling families in the United States! Whether after a speaker event or at one of our many exhibitor booths, you’ll be able to chat with other homeschool parents and students. This is a perfect opportunity to gather insights and advice from parents with students older than yours and to impart some wisdom to parents with younger students!
During various scheduled activities, games, and student camps, your children will also meet and have fun with other like-minded Classical Conversations students from around the nation.
Learn from Leaders in the Homeschooling Movement
Throughout the event, you’ll learn from Classical Conversations leaders like our founder, Leigh Bortins, and CEO, Robert Bortins. These speakers will discuss topics such as whether you should consider college credit when homeschooling, the tools of classical learning, the future of classical education, homeschooling in Chile, and our vision for the future of Classical Conversations.

These speaking sessions are aimed at inspiring and equipping you with the tools to persevere throughout your homeschooling journey. We know homeschooling can be difficult sometimes — this event is intended to be a time of refreshment and encouragement to help you finish the race strong!
How to Register for National Conference
Our National Conference is held in conjunction with several other exciting Classical Conversations events, all kicked off on Thursday afternoon by our 25th Anniversary Celebration! Also on Thursday, student finalists in our National Memory Master competition will compete for a grand cash prize, and on Friday, Challenge graduates will participate in a formal graduation ceremony during National Commencement.
