A Classical Conversations tutor from Warner Robins, Georgia, will be one of the prayer leaders of the million-woman She Loves Out Loud livestreaming event this Saturday.
She Loves Out Loud is a nondenominational, nonpolitical livestream event intended to create empowerment through prayer for Christian women around the world, and particularly those within the U.S. military. The prayer event will be livestreamed 12-4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15. Hundreds of churches and military bases around the country will be hosting viewing events, and individuals can log on from home.
Megan Brown is a veteran airman’s wife. Her husband, Master Sgt. Keith Brown, is stationed at Robins Air Force Base. The couple have four children, who are all registered in Foundations or Foundations & Essentials programs at the Kathleen (Georgia) Community of Classical Conversations. Megan is also a Foundations tutor there.
“I believe that God is in fierce pursuit of the military community,” Megan said. “He is raising up a fighting force within a fighting force. We, the military community, are uniquely positioned to carry the gospel to the four corners and if we are intentional, we can change the landscape of Heaven.”
Megan will be one of seven women leading in prayer throughout the afternoon. The topics for prayer include overcoming anxiety and depression, choosing life over abortion, human trafficking, military wives, race relations, the next generation, marriage betrayal and pornography. Megan will be praying for the military, military wives and suicide.
She is a 15-year military spouse, author and frequent speaker. Megan serves as a military missionary, serving the active duty community by bringing the gospel directly into the housing units and training military community members to disciple a generation. She is the 2019 Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year for Robins Air Force Base, a Joan Orr Award nominee, and a recipient of the Lifetime Volunteer Award through the Department of Defense.
Megan recently signed two book contracts with Moody Publishers, Chicago. She is currently writing an expository Bible study for women. “Esther: Come Out of Hiding,” is scheduled for release in April 2021.
Although this is the Browns’ first year with Classical Conversations, Megan said she would love to advocate more for Classical Conversations in the military space. “CC presents a unique opportunity to provide flexible, but exemplary, education to families on the move—and to offer the support and encouragement needed for military families today.”
Any church, organization, or small group can host the livestream for free through the internet broadcasts on Facebook Live, the website www.shelovesoutloud.org or Lifeway Digital Pass.
